Title: Part-Time Self-Storage Facility Associate
Location: 12 Tozer Road, Beverly, MA 01915
Compensation: $17.50 - $20/hour
About Us: Tozer Storage is a small, locally owned and operated self-storage facility set to open its doors in July in Beverly, MA. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and convenience to our customers. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience while utilizing our storage solutions. Position Overview: We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Part-Time Self-Storage Facility Associates. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll interact with customers, perform daily facility inspections, and assist with various tasks related to leasing storage units and parking spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of storage units and facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security standards are maintained.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, rental agreements, and payments both in person, online, and over the phone.
- Lease storage units and parking spaces to prospective customers, explaining rental terms and assisting with applications, leases, and paperwork as needed.
- Promote and sell tenant insurance options to customers to protect their stored property.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks and property upkeep as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of rental agreements, payments, and customer interactions using web software.
- Make reminder, renewal, and collection communications (calls/emails/etc) as needed to maintain business/customer relationships.
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris.
- Maintain a professional and friendly image for self and facility
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to walk in/around facilities, spending up to 50% of the time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening overhead doors.
Qualifications:
- Reliability, responsiveness, and the ability to work independently.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for cleanliness and organization.
- Computer proficiency for data entry and record-keeping (training provided for our software).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends, as the business and customers may require.
Additional Information:
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for conducting work-related business during work hours is required (mileage reimbursement available).
Compensation:
- Part-time position (Facilty hours anticipated to be Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm, Saturdays 9:00am – 5:30pm)
- Competitive pay - $17.50 - $20 per hour
